District Elder Willie Clemons was born in Philadelphia, MS. On March 26, 1966, he married his wife of 43 years, Evang. Agatha Clemons. He was baptized in Jesus' name as a young man, but did not make a commitment to God until after he got married. After he made the commitment to God to serve Him, he received the precious gift of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of joy and speaking with tongues as the Spirit gave him utterance. Shortly afterwards he was called into the ministry. Although he struggled with stuttering, it was evident that when God's anointing was on him, when he was preaching and teaching the Word of God, the stuttering was not a problem.

Brother Clemons, as he was called then, quickly became known throughout the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World for his loudness, his excitement and for his unique ability to lead and charge a praise service. His key instruments were the rub board and the tambourine. While enjoying Jesus to the fullest, he was busy doing kingdom building activities. He helped establish churches in Preston, Louisville, Union and other cities in MS. He started outreach ministries at Jerusalem Temple and took pride in making sure the church was clean before services. He was soon elevated to Assistant Pastor under the Honorable Bishop Clifton Jones.

Although District Elder Clemons is widely known as "the country preacher", he is even greater respected as "the man that preaches with, under and through the anointing". He has not received a PhD in Theology, but has received a Masters in Kneeology. He is quick to admit he may not know all the answers, but he is even quicker to boldly proclaim "There is nothing too hard for God!"
